The team at Elyte formulated the product they wanted to use and see in the market—a simple no-sugar hydration solution with essential electrolytes that replenish, nourish, and positively impact a balanced lifestyle. But launching into the saturated hydration market meant competing against established players, each owning significant market share and consumer mindshare.

Following the brand launch, Elyte achieved explosive growth with substantial revenue increases and built a loyal customer base with strong repeat purchase rates. The brand's professional appearance helped establish immediate credibility and trust.
Challenge
The hydration market presented a complex positioning challenge. Established competitors owned clear territories: LMNT dominated performance with salt-focused messaging, Hydralyte held the Australian general market and medical space, and Pure Sports Nutrition captured the local New Zealand market through ingredient transparency.
But Elyte faced an even more nuanced challenge—they needed to appeal to multiple distinct audiences simultaneously: serious endurance athletes, casual gym-goers, busy active parents, and people balancing demanding lifestyles. Each group had different motivations, language preferences, and trust signals. Creating a brand that spoke authentically to all without feeling generic or excluding any segment required surgical precision in strategy and execution.
As with any startup entering a crowded category, the stakes were high. Elyte needed to look bigger and more established than they actually were to build the consumer trust essential for supplement purchases from day one.
Solution
We developed a brand strategy anchored in empowerment rather than performance alone, giving Elyte permission to speak across audience segments while maintaining authenticity and avoiding the sterile or intimidating aesthetics common in the category.
The visual identity needed to work harder than your average brand system. We locked in a bold, confident logotype and flexible design language that could appear technical and credible for serious athletes while remaining approachable and accessible for everyday consumers. The system balances scientific authority with human warmth through careful typography choices, colour applications, and information hierarchy.
Our packaging design became a key differentiator, consistently drawing praise from both trade and consumers. The design communicates premium quality and trustworthiness—essential for a new brand asking consumers to trust them with their health and performance.
